I had planned on going out on the night of this shoot, but the very rare Los Angeles rains changed my plans. While I love the rain, it’s not conducive for a full face of makeup. So instead, I decided to stay in and get cozy on my bed. It was really comforting to be home, listening to the downpour outside and reading a good book. This look is one of my favorites, but I also found it quite comfortable. After the shoot, I ended up relaxing for a while and eventually falling a sleep.
There is not a lot else to say this week, except that I am grateful to have a place like this to be comfortable in and have privacy. From 1996 to about 2008, privacy was a nonexistent commodity in my life. Hell, a bed was no where to be found as well. I’m the definition of an introvert, so not having that essential space drove me crazy. As you can imagine for a trans kid going through so much internal torment, it wasn’t a fun time. To many, this isn’t a big thing. For me, someone who had little to nothing for so long, I have to appreciate and cherish this gift.
